Kate Reid
Daphne Katherine Reid ( * November 4, 1930 in London, England; † March 27, 1993 in Stratford, Ontario) was a Canadian actress.
Career
Throughout her career she has had numerous theater, film and television appearances in Canada and the United States. The German public is mainly for her role as Linda Loman opposite Dustin Hoffman in Volker Schlöndorff's film version of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman in memory that she had also played on Broadway with the same cast. Impress was also a grumpy scientist in the science- fiction film Andromeda - Deadly dust from outer space in the year 1971.
In 1974 she was included in the rank of Officer in the Order of Canada. Kate Reid died in 1993 at the age of 62 years to a brain tumor.
