Kate Vernon

Katherine "Kate" Vernon ( born 1961 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian actress.

Life

Kate Vernon is the daughter of John Vernon and Nancy West. Most indicated that she was born in Canada and moved as a child only to Hollywood (California), however, various sources also give Hollywood as their birthplace.

Once she wanted to be an architect originally, they decided against the advice of her father but for the acting profession. After a few minor roles starting with Chained Heat (1983 ) she played 1984-1985 in 25 episodes of the series Falcon Crest as Lorraine Prescott. A supporting role she played in the comedy Pretty in Pink ( 1986) with Molly Ringwald. Due to the increased popularity they got as a result some bigger roles in film and television, including Malcolm X ( 1992), directed by Spike Lee and starring Denzel Washington and A clever coup (Soft Deceit ) ( 1994) with Patrick Bergin. Furthermore, she appeared with Dolph Lundgren and Wild Days (2003) with Peter Falk in the film John Woo 's Blackjack (1998). Between 2004 and 2009 she was repeatedly seen in all four seasons of the series Battlestar Galactica.
