Kateřina Němcová

Katerina Nemcova ( born November 14, 1990 in Prague ) is a Czech chess player. Since June 2013, it plays for the U.S. Chess Federation.

Life

Katerina Nemcova comes from a chess family. Her five sisters and her brother playing chess with successful participation in World Youth Championships. An uncle, Igor Němec, is president of the Czech Chess Federation ( Sachovy svaz České Republiky ), another uncle, Norbert Gallinnis, correspondence chess sim ( Senior International Master) and Nachschach FIDE champion. She studied at the Catholic school of nursing Církevní střední zdravotnická škola Jana Pavla II in Prague. In July 2011, she received a scholarship for four years at the University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College.

Individual successes

Even in the youth field Katerina Nemcova had with Czech singles championships many successes: 2nd place U-10 in 2000, 2nd place U -12 in 2001, 1st place U -12 in 2002, 1st place U-16 in 2003, 1st place U -14 2003, 1st place U-14 in 2004, 2nd place U-16 in 2004, 3rd place U-18 in 2004, 1st place U-16 in 2005 and 1st place U-16, 2006. During the Czech U20 Championship of female youth in Havlíčkův Brod, who won Eva Kulovaná, she was third. In the U18 World Championship for female youth in 2007 in Kemer she was behind Valentina Gunina Second, the U18 European Championship of female youth in 2008 in Herceg Novi, she won as well as the Czech U20 Championship of female youth 2008 Havlíčkův Brod. Chess team

National

For the first time in the Czech women's national team, she was employed in the Mitropa Cup in 2006 in Brno. Club teams

Chess team plays in the Czech Republic for the SK Oaza Prague and as a guest player for the Beskydská Šáchová škola Frýdek - Místek, a chess school. In Germany they first played in the 2006/07 season for the second team of the SG Porz. Since the 2008/ 09 season she played for the SC 1957 Bad Königshofen in the first Women's Bundesliga and Oberliga Bayern. She had in 2008 also inserts in the Greek team championship; there they played for SO Kavala.

Title and rating

Since June 2007, it bears the title of International Women's Champion (WIM). The standards for this purpose, it achieved the Prague Open in January 2007, when Gibtelcom Masters in Gibraltar a week later and in the European Women's Championship in April 2007 in Dresden, where she defeated, among others, Elena Lewuschkina and Lenka Ptacnikova, with overachievement, the title was requested in April 2007, but it could be awarded only in July 2007 because she had not yet reached the required Elo rating of 2200. The title of Grand Master of the women ( WGM ) she wears since June 2008. Standards for this purpose, it achieved at the European Women's Championship in April 2008 in Varna, again with over-fulfillment, as well as over-achievement in the European Team Championship for Women in November 2007 in Heraklion. The two WGM norms they also qualified for the title of International Master (IM ), which was applied for in October 2008, but has not yet reached the required Elo rating of 2400, so you could not be awarded the IM title.

Your current Elo rating is 2261 (as of May 2012), and is thus, on the fourth place in the Czech Elo ranking of women. Their highest ever Elo rating was 2372 in July 2008.
