Katharina Nocun

Catherine Nocuń [ dt kataʀina nokun ] and Katarzyna Nocuń [ pln. kataʒɨna nɔt͡suɲ ] ( born 1986 in Tychy, Poland ) is a Polish-German politician, and was from Mai by November 2013, political director of the Pirate Party of Germany.

Life

Nocuń was born in Poland and came at the age of three years with her parents to Germany. Her mother is a database administrator, her father an IT project manager. After graduation in 2006 at the Konrad -Duden -Gymnasium in Wesel, she studied politics and economics at the University of Münster and then Politics, Economics and Philosophy at the University of Hamburg. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree, their undergraduate thesis was on the subject Liquid feedback. By December 2012, she was professionally as a consultant for digital consumer rights at Consumer Federation of the project " surfers have rights" busy. She is currently working as an editor for net world and spent a part-time study in business computer science. She lives on a farm in Dissen am Teutoburger Wald.

It has both the German and the Polish nationality. In February 2014 Nocuń resigned from the church.

Political career

From 2009 to 2010 she was a consultant for Data Protection and Free Software in the student union of the University of Münster. This experience she later describes as being essential for their entry into the Pirate Party and publicly criticized a lack of integration of citizens' interests at EU and national level.

Nocuń joined in March 2012, the Pirate Party Germany. She was the top candidate of the Pirate Party in the state elections in Lower Saxony 2013 ( Rank 2), is in the general election of 2013 list number two of the Lower Saxony State Association and also competes as a direct candidate in the electoral district of Osnabrück country.
