Katherine Parkinson

Katherine Parkinson (born 9 March 1978 in England) is a British actress, known internationally for her role as Jen Barber in the television series The IT Crowd

Life

Katherine Parkinson went to the Tiffin Girls' School in Kingston upon Thames, London and later at the St Hilda 's College, Oxford. Thereafter, she attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, where she first met Chris O'Dowd, who played in The IT Crowd with her later. She interrupted her studies to star in the play The Age of Consent. 2007 Parkinson appeared in a newly translated version of The Seagull by Anton Chekhov, together with Kristin Scott Thomas and Mackenzie Crook.

As a film and television actress Parkinson has been operating since 2005. She has performed, among others, from 2005 to 2009 as Pauline Lamb in the British television series Doc Martin on. Among her better known roles include the lead role of Jen Barber in the award-winning comedy series The IT Crowd. In addition to roles in television series and television movies she was for beginners or Rocked also be seen in films like New York.

2012 Parkinson played in the final episode of the second season of the BBC series Sherlock ( " The Reichenbach Fall" ), the journalist Kitty Riley.
