Kathrin Neimke

Kathrin Neimke ( born July 18, 1966 in Magdeburg ) is a former German track and field athlete and Olympic medalist, who belonged in the 1980s and 1990s to the world's best shot putters inside. By 1990 they started for the GDR. Her achievements are the two Olympic medals she won in consecutive games: the silver medal at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul and the bronze medal at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. For their success at the Olympics in Seoul, she was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in silver.
