Kathryn Newton
Kathryn Newton ( born February 8, 1997) is an American actress who is best known for her role of Louise Brooks from the U.S. television series Gary Unmarried.
Life
At the age of four years, was born in 1997, Kathryn Newton, who now lives with her family in Los Angeles, for the first time on camera. Here, at first as a child model at different magazine covers and in magazines (eg on the cover of Woman's Day in October 2002), she managed over time also to exposure to commercials of many well-known brands and companies. Such was the among other things in commercials for Procter & Gamble Clairol, the children's sunscreen Coppertone Kids Spectra 3, which also belongs to the P & G Group paper towel brand Bounty or belonging to the Danone Group yoghurt brand Danimals, for even Dylan and Cole Sprouse were standing in front of the camera to see. Furthermore followed even work in the commercials of the Food Network, the P & G's Tide detergent brand, the retail chain Gap Inc. and the former discounter Value City. Your first television appearance was finally in 2001 in the soap opera All My Children, where she in the role of young Colby Marian Chandler - not to be confused with the character of Marian Colby Chandler, who also appears in the series - took over and this role to and including 2004 held. After a few years without any significant involvement in film and television, she took over in 2008, the role of Louise Brooks in the CBS television series Gary Unmarried, having previously revolved something older Laura Marano who was actually intended for the role, while the pilot episode, was thrown out of the cast. In 2011 she made an appearance in the movie Bad Teacher. Until the expiry of the series in 2010 it was, except for the previously mentioned pilot episode, used in all episodes produced and has been awarded or nominated several times for her role. So they received, among others the 2010 Young Artist Award in the category "Best Performance in a TV Series ( Comedy or Drama ) - Supporting Young Actress", as well as the People's Choice Award for the series Gary Unmarried. The latter award ceremony is conducted from CBS on which the series was transmitted and produced by versatile dedicated P & G Group, for which Newton also worked on several occasions over the years. Already in 2009, followed by a nomination in this category and in 2011 was nominated Kathryn Newton one more time for a Young Artist Award. In 2011 it is also seen in a supporting role in the movie Bad Teacher. 2012 Newton played the lead role in the fourth installment of the Paranormal -Activity - series, for which she won the award for Best Actress in a Feature Film at the Young Artist Awards in 2013 alongside Quvenzhané Wallis.
In her spare time, Newton successfully plays golf, what it shows, among other things, in the series Gary Unmarried and is represented there as a true natural talent. In real life she already participated in many major golf tournaments and qualified in 2008 for the U.S. Kids World Cup. In addition, she is also active in golf related sports and tournaments, such as First Tee or U.S. Kids Junior Golf.
