Katie Spencer

Katie Spencer is a British stage and set designer who has been nominated for four times for an Academy Award for Best Production Design.

Life and career

In the early 1980s visited the Spencer Drama School in London. Subsequently, she worked as a stage designer at Therater and moved from there to the BBC. Katie Spencer worked as a buyer for the film drama The Gouverness with Minnie Driver in the lead role. A year later, she was responsible for the screenshots in Lover or Loser. For the Best Art of Pride and Prejudice Spencer in 2006 received her first Oscar nomination. Your work at the scene images from Atonement, brought her 2008 second Oscar nomination and a BAFTA Award in derselbigen category. With Sherlock Holmes and the choice for the best picture scene, she received her third nomination at the Academy Awards. For the sequel Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows from 2011, Spencer also worked as a production designer. Four years after their last nomination, she was nominated for the Drama Anna Karenina for the fourth time for an Oscar. All nominations she got together with Sarah Greenwood.
