Katsura Hoshino

Katsura Hoshino (Japanese星野 桂, Hoshino Katsura, * 21 April 1980 in Shiga Prefecture, Japan ) is a Japanese manga artist.

Hoshino brought her debut work as a professional illustrator in 2002 with the short story zone out, which appeared in the manga magazine Akamaru Jump. In Shonen Jump, the best-selling manga magazine, they published the following year, the short story Continue.

Since June 2004 she has worked for Shōnen Jump on her first manga series, D.Gray-man, which already includes 23 anthologies (May 2012) and was a great success. It was produced as an anime television series and translated into several languages. The first eleven paperback editions sold in Japan more than 9.5 million times. The fantasy manga set in an alternate Europe in the late 19th century and represents the exorcist Allen Walker in the center.
