Katzenstein (Pobershau)

As Katzenstein is called an east-southeast of Pobershau situated in the Ore Mountains rock formation. The highest point is at about 706 m above sea level. Sea level and about 90 meters above the bottom of the Black Pockau to which he descends steeply.

History

The Katzenstein got its name because of a cliff, resembling the shape of a cat's head. As the rock threatened to crash, this was demolished for safety reasons.
