Kay Goldsworthy

Kay Goldsworthy ( born 1956 in Melbourne) is an Australian bishop of the Anglican Church of Australia.

Life

After her schooling Goldsworthy studied Anglican theology. 1992 Goldsworthy was ordained Anglican priest in Australia. Goldsworthy was ordained on 22 May 2008 the Anglican Bishop of St. George 's Cathedral in Perth. Goldsworthy is the first woman to be ordained as a bishop in the Anglican Church of Australia. Previously, women had already been ordained as Anglican bishops in Canada, United States and New Zealand since 1989. Goldsworthy is married.
