Kazimierz Ryczan

Kazimierz Ryczan ( born February 10, 1939 in Żurawica, powiat Przemyski, Poland) is a bishop of Kielce.

Life

Kazimierz Ryczan received on 16 June 1963 the Bishop of Przemysl, Franciszek Barda, the sacrament of Holy Orders and was incardinated in the clergy of the diocese of Przemysl.

On July 17, 1993, Pope John Paul II appointed Bishop of Kielce. The Archbishop of Krakow, Cardinal Franciszek Macharski, donated to him on 11 September of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the secretary of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, Archbishop Edward Nowak Curia, and the Auxiliary Bishop of Kielce, Mieczysław Jaworski.

Kazimierz Ryczan is Grand Officer of the Order of the Holy grave in Jerusalem. He is an honorary citizen of Kielce.
