Kazimir Hnatow

Kazimir (also Casimir ) Hnatow ( born January 9, 1929 in Crusnes, Meurthe -et -Moselle, † 16 December, 2010 Vouillé ( Deux -Sèvres ) ) is a former French footballer.

In the club

The connector began his professional career in 1951 - the age of 22, so relatively late - at FC Metz in Lorraine, where he quickly developed into a regular player and his debut season finished on a respectable 5th place in the top division. In 1953 he moved to the capital club Stade Français, but who had surprisingly relegated to the second division at the end of the season. Kazimir Hnatow nevertheless remained at Stade Français, who transferred him to two failed comeback attempt in 1956 to the first division SCO Angers.

In the following seven years he completed for the SCO, spared major injuries, over 240 league games. To a title win in championship or Coupe de France is not reached there, but in 1957 he stood with his team in the Cup final, in which Angers however the Toulouse FC 3:6 defeated, and in 1958 completed his club the season in fourth place from, so that he was allowed to travel with the national team for the World Championships in Sweden ( see below). In 1962 he reached the Cup again the semi-finals. A year later, Kazimir Hnatow went to the amateur club Chamois Niort, where he still as player-coach football boots laced up to 1966. In the 1972/73 season he was there again worked as an assistant coach. What then became of him, is not yet determine.

In the national team

Kazimir Hnatow playing in the French amateur and the B team, never took it but at a senior international: although he was quite a goal threat for an outdoor runner, he could not make particularly Armand Penverne this position in dispute. As his long-time team-mate Stéphane Bruey he belonged indeed to the World Cup squad in 1958, but was not used for the finals in Sweden.
