Kem Nunn

Kem Nunn ( * 1948 in Pomona ) is an American novelist, surfer, journalist and writer from California.

Life

Kem Nunn grew up in Pomona and Northern California. At the University of California, Irvine, he earned a Master of Fine Arts ( MFA) in Creative Writing.

2006 Nunn was screenwriter of the U.S. Western television series Deadwood of Home Box Office for part of the third and final season. Nunn wrote the episode Leviathan Smiles. The producers of the series David Milch he subsequently developed the web - series John from Cincinnati, who plays in San Diego, Imperial Beach, and was first broadcast in June 2007.

Nunn lives in Orange County, California.

His novels have been described as "surf - noir" because they have dark scenes that contain political allusions and play against the backdrop of surfers.
