Kemistry & Storm

Kemistry & Storm was a British DJ duo in drum and bass, consisting of Kemistry ( Valerie Olukemi A Olusanya, 1963-1999 ) and Storm ( Jane Conneely ). Along with Goldie, they founded the label Metalheadz and experienced worldwide attention as a female DJ in a male- dominated music scene.

Kemistry and Storm got to college in Northampton know and met later in London. In the early 1990s, they decided to act as a DJ team. Along with Goldie they conducted for two and a half years, the Metalheadz label before secession and collaborated with other labels. Her most famous recordings remained their mix album from the DJ-Kicks series of Studio K7 in 1999.

In the early morning of April 25, 1999 Kemistry was killed in a traffic accident. She was hit in the passenger seat of a flying stone marker that a truck broke on the motorway M3 near Winchester highway directly in front of her. The unexpected death sparked worldwide grief and horror in the scene.

Since that time, Storm occurs alone under the name DJ Storm.
