Kempi
Jerrely Slijger (born 4 May 1988 in Helmond ), artist name Kempi, is a Dutch rapper from Eindhoven. He is currently the label TopNotch under contract.
Life and career
Kempi grew up in Eindhoven in the Woensel - West district. There he soon came into contact with the criminal milieu and committed various offenses. In September 2006, he got a record deal with the Dutch label TopNotch. In June 2008 he was sentenced to a 12-month prison sentence. Then he released several mixtapes and his debut album You Zoon in July 2008, which reached number 7 in the Dutch charts. Then he released his fourth mixtape Mixtape 3.2: You Evolutie Van 'N Nigga. End of March 2010 appeared his latest mixtape You Gangsta Tape.
Slijger is the father of two children.
Musical Style
Kempi makes Dutch-speaking gangsta rap. This diverse American influences can not be dismissed out of hand. It is worth mentioning in this context features with the American artists Bone Thugs -N-Harmony and The Outlawz. Linguistically, his lyrics are influenced creole.
