Kemuri

Kemuri is a Japanese ska band that was founded in 1995. In 2007, the band split. After a 5 year break a reunion was announced in summer 2012.

In 1996 they were able to conclude a contract with Roadrunner Records, the band was the possibility to organize a tour with 40 performances by the United States in 1998. Following the band recorded in Fort Collins 77 Days in the studio of Descendents. The lyrics are mostly English, only individual pieces are sung in Japanese. In Japan, the band is very well known and entered in 1998 and 2000 at the Fuji Rock Festival. Performances in Europe were carried out so far only on a tour in 1999 through France.

Resolution

On 12 December 2006 Kemuri announced their resolution. In a "break up message" on their website they said that they had achieved more as a band than they had ever hoped for. The breakup of the band was therefore the most positive step appears ( in the course of their PMA Attitude ). The last concert played Kemuri on 9 December 2007 at Zepp Tokyo.

Reunion

In summer 2012, the band announced their reunion. On September 12, 2012, the first concert took place in Japan after the break as part of the AIR JAM 2012.
