Kenan Åžahin

Kenan Şahin ( born October 27, 1984 in Cologne ) is a German -Turkish football player who grew up in Germany. Şahin comes from the Rhineland, but has Turkish parents and a Turkish passport.

Career

Association

With the football games he started in Cologne at the DJK green and white trinkets before he was discovered 04 Leverkusen for the youth of Bayer. With the U-19 youth of the club he was in the final of the German Cup.

After a year at SC Fortuna Cologne, where he played in the Youth B - Regional, the center forward returned to Leverkusen in 2001 in the professional squad back. In the first year he came as a 20 -year-old to his first Bundesliga appearances. In the first half of the following season, however, he was loaded only once, so he decided a change to the 2nd Bundesliga winter break. At FC Energie Cottbus he was then also regularly on the court, even if it took until the final day of the season 2004/ 05, to Kenan Sahin scored his first goal in professional football.

Another year in the Lausitz was crowned with the rise of FC Energie in the first league to the German-Turk, however, did not cooperate. He joined the 2006/07 season to the second division promoted TuS Koblenz, where he played the season as the choice strikers, even if the temperamental player was suspended briefly for disciplinary reasons. During the winter break of the season 2007/ 08 he moved to Fortuna Dusseldorf in the Regionalliga Nord. On 16 December 2008 he has been cleared again for disciplinary reasons by his club.

From the 14th January 2009, he was a contract player of the third division 1 FC Union Berlin, where he was in the second half of the 2008/ 09 regular players by storm, with the capital club promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. In the coming season he was used regularly, but in 17 of his 29 games this year he was only a substitute. In the season 2010/ 11 then got even a foot injury to, so that he was able to complete a few missions in the first round and no longer played in the second half.

After his contract expires, he joined in the summer of 2011 in the second highest league of Turkey Denizlispor. Here he solved at the end of the season 2011/12 by mutual agreement its still valid for a year contract on. For the upcoming season, he signed on to the league rivals Kayseri Erciyesspor. With Kayseri Erciyesspor he reached the end of the season the championship of the TFF 1 Lig and thus the direct promotion to the Süper Lig Since his expiring contract was not renewed, he hired for the upcoming season at second division Mersin İdman Yurdu.

For the second half of the 2013/14 season Şahin changed within the first Lig to Ankaraspor.

National

Şahin was appointed eleven times in the squad of the Turkish U-21 national team, and used nine times.
