Kenneth Ham

Ham in 1987 received a bachelor's degree in aeronautics and aerospace engineering from the United States Naval Academy. In 1996, he acquired from the Naval Postgraduate School, a master's in aeronautical engineering.

Ham joined the U.S. Navy one, was trained as a naval aviator in 1989 and earned his pilot's license. He graduated from the United States Naval Test Pilot School.

Astronauts activity

Ham was selected in August 1998 for the astronaut program at NASA. He was a speaker connection ( CapCom ) for various space shuttle and ISS missions operate.

In spring 2007, Ham was selected as a pilot for his first space flight. The launch of STS -124 on 31 May 2008.

On his second space flight he was given command of the mission STS- 132. The launch took place on May 14, landing on 26 May 2010. This was the last flight of the space shuttle Atlantis.

Ham left NASA on 31 May 2012 and returned to the United States Naval Academy, where he now teaches.
