Kenny Neal

Kenny Neal ( born October 14, 1957 in New Orleans, Louisiana) is an American blues and swamp blues guitar player.

Kenny Neal, who grew up in Baton Rouge, learned the music from his father Raful Neal and has already played over 13 years as a bass player in the band. At age 17, he accompanied Buddy Guy on tour. He then moved to Toronto and founded with his brothers Raful Jr., Larry and Ronnie the Neal Brothers Band. On stage he was already with blues legends such as BB King, Bonnie Raitt, Muddy Waters, Aaron Neville, John Lee Hooker, Lucky Peterson and Lazy Lester. He was the frontman in Canada's Downchild Blues Band. Since 2004 he has been the host of a TV show Neal 's Place, in which he plays with various blues artists. In June 2007 at the Monterey Blues Festival, he took part, in 2009 he received the Monterey Bay Blues Festival Award.
