Kent McCord

Kent McCord (actually Kent Franklin McWhirter, born September 26, 1942 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actor. He is best known for his role as the cop in the television series Adam - 12 (1968-1975) at the side of Martin Milner

Life

Kent Franklin McWhirter was born in 1942 in the French Hospital in Downtown Los Angeles. He grew up in Baldwin Park, California on.

After visiting the Baldwin Park High School and Citrus Junior College, he was awarded the 1962 thanks to its good performance in football a scholarship to the University of Utah. In 1961, he met at a football game the singer Ricky Nelson, with whom he formed a close friendship soon. About Nelson he received his first commitment as an actor in the television series The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, which also starred Nelson. McCord's role has been built up over the coming years and he played until 1966 in the series.
