Martin Milner

Martin " Marty " Sam Milner ( born December 28, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan) is an American film and theater actor.

Life

Martin Milner was born in 1931 in Detroit as the son of film Sam Gordon Milner lender and the dancer Jerry Martin. The family moved several times later the residence. In 1935, she lived in San Francisco and later settled in Seattle. From 1940 the family Milner is demonstrated in Los Angeles. Even as a 10 -year-old Milner collected there first experience in children's theater performances.

His first film role in 1947 in Life with Father on the side of William Powell and Irene Dunne. Shortly after the end of filming, he contracted polio and could not work for almost a year. In 1949 he graduated from the school at North Hollywood High School. After another small roles in film and on television Milner was drafted into the Army in 1952 and served two years in a unit that produced, among other training films for the Army.

In 1960 he was awarded the contract for the role of death Stiles in the television series Route 66, which he played from 1960 to 1964 in 116 episodes on the side of George Maharis ( 1960-1963 ) and Glenn Corbett ( 1963-1964 ).

Jack Webb gave Milner 1968, the role of Officer Pete Malloy in the police series Adam -12, which he played until 1975 at the side of Kent McCord in 174 episodes. From 1975 to 1976 he took over in the television series The Swiss Family Robinson, an adaptation of the Swiss Robinsons, the role of the family father, Charles Robinson.

After Milner worked until the late 1990s, as an actor, where he was seen primarily in television series and television movies. He also appeared occasionally in theatrical productions, including, inter alia in 1980 in a production of The Tender Trap at the side of his wife.

From 1994 to 2004 Milner hosted jointly with Pete Gray at the San Diegoer radio station XTRA Sports 690 AM anglers talk show Let's Talk Hook-Up.

Private life

In 1957 he married actress Judith Bess Jones. The marriage produced four children. His eldest daughter Amy died in December 2004 from acute myeloid leukemia.
