Kenta Matsunami

Kenta Matsunami (Japanese松 浪 健 太, Kenta Matsunami, born August 17, 1971 in Osaka Prefecture ) is a Japanese politician of the Nippon Ishin no Kai and member of the Shūgiin, the lower house.

Life

Matsunami his studies at Waseda University, completed in 1997; one years he had spent as an intern in Australia. He then worked for the Sankei Shimbun. Matsunami was for the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP ) for the first time elected to Shūgiin for retired MPs Kiyomi Tsujimoto in the 10th constituency Osaka 2002. After being voted out in 2003 he was able to win at the Shūgiin - election in 2005 the seat.

Under Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda from 2007 Matsunami was first parliamentary secretary ( seimukan ) in the MHLW, then from August 2008 in the Cabinet Office. In the LDP election defeat in 2009 Matsunami lost his constituency again and was re-elected on the proportional representation block Kinki. In the LDP, he belonged until 2010 to Ibuki faction.
