Kerem Tunçeri

Kerem Tunçeri ( born April 14, 1979 in Istanbul), often also called " Keko ", is a Turkish basketball player. His position is that of the point guards. Since 2009 he plays for Efes Pilsen Istanbul.

Career

Kerem Tunçeri began his career in the youth of Galatasaray Café Crown, where he was eventually taken over in 1996 with only 17 years, in the first squad. He celebrated his first success in 2000 when he won the Turkish Präsidentencup. End of this season moved to the point guard Efes Pilsen Istanbul, 04 could win with those of the 2001/02 to season 2003 / three championships, he also got 2001 and 2002 the Turkish Cup. 2004 moved to Tunçeri Ulker Istanbul, with whom he again was able to win the Cup in his only season. 2005/ 06 he was appointed to the services of Beşiktaş Cola Turka player of the year. National

Kerem Tunçeri took with the national team at the European basketball championships 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2009, and the FIBA World Championship in 2002 and the World Basketball Championship, 2010. His greatest success was next to winning the silver medal at the European basketball championship in 2001 in his own country, winning the silver medal at the World Basketball Championship in 2010 against the United States also in their own country.

His older brother Kemal Tunçeri was also a professional basketball player in Turkey.
