Kerry Ellis

Kerry Ellis ( born May 6, 1979 in Suffolk, England) is an English musical actress, who made a name for himself by embodying several West End leading roles. Special recognition they gained by the Queen musical We Will Rock You, where they in the original London cast the role of "Meat / Ozzy " created. By 2009, she played the role of " Elphaba " in the musical Wicked - The Witches of Oz in London. Ellis went several times together with Brian May on tour, who produced many of their publications.

Career

Even before Kerry Ellis in 1997 began her professional training at Laine Theatre Arts in Surrey, she was two years part of the group Star Makers, which she gained her first stage experience.

In 2000 she became a member of the ensemble of My Fair Lady, where she also acted as understudy of " Eliza Doolittle ". She also starred in Magic of the Musicals as understudy. In the original London cast of the musical We Will Rock You, she appeared from 2002 to 2004 as " Meat", in order to subsequently join the UK tour of Miss Saigon as "Ellen". Later she returned to London and played " Fantine " in Les Misérables.

Since late 2006, she was in the musical Wicked - The Witches of Oz engaged. At first she worked there as understudy the lead role " Elphaba " to replace Idina Menzel as the " Wicked Witch of the West" in January 2007. She was also seen for half a year as first cast " Elphaba " on Broadway, after which they again played the " Elphaba " in the London production, their last show they played on May 9, 2009.

From March 2010 to January 2011 she was in the musical Oliver! as "Nancy" to see.

From May to July 2011, toured Ellis, partly accompanied by Brian May, with her solo program Anthems - Concert by the United Kingdom. The first concert took place on May 1, 2011 in the Royal Albert Hall in London.
