Kerry Group

The company originates from the Munster region in Ireland. The Group Kerry Group, listed on the London Stock Exchange and the Irish Stock Exchange, is the global leader in food additives and flavorings. With the IPO, the company grew under the leadership of Denis Brosnan to a major food manufacturer. The Group supplies with 36 brands, primarily the Irish and British markets. The company is a member of the ISEQ Overall Index on the Irish Stock Exchange.

History

The company is headquartered in Tralee in County Kerry. The company employs 22 468 people (2010) and has sales and distribution centers in Europe, North America, South America, Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

The Kerry Group offers over 10,000 different products and exports them to more than 140 countries. In 19 countries, the company manufacturing sites, and sales offices in more than 20 other countries worldwide. The market capitalization of the company is currently (31 August 2011 ) at 4.69 billion euros.

End of February 2008 the company reported that the pre-tax profit had increased by 35 % in 2007; at the same time was a doubling of the company announced capacity " over the next five to six years."

In mid-March 2008 it was announced that the Kerry Group takes over from Reox Holdings for 165 million euros its subsidiary Breeo ( Foods and Distribution Services).

The Kerry Group is a sponsor of the annual awarded and endowed with 15,000 € Kerry Group Irish Fiction Award.
