Kerry Reid

Kerry Reid, born Kerry Melville, ( born August 7, 1947 in Mosman ) is a former Australian tennis player.

The greatest moment in her career was winning the Australian Open in January 1977, when they defeated in the final Dianne Fromholtz Bales Trat 7:5 and 6:2. In 1970, she was defeated in the finals even tennis legend Margaret Court.

In doubles, she won the Australian Open in 1968 and 1977.

Reid is one of nine players, the original 9, 1970, the Virginia Slims Invitational played, organized and sponsored by Gladys Heldman.
