Kersleti ( Kärslet German, Swedish Kärrslätt, estonia Swedish Kählet ) is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Vormsi ( Vormsi vald ) in Lääne. The place is in the northwest of the fourth largest Estonian island of Vormsi ( German Worms, Swedish Ormsö ).

Description

Kersleti has only five inhabitants ( 31 December 2011). In the former chapel of the village today a workshop for local crafts is housed.

The place was first mentioned in documents in 1540 under the name Kyrresleven. In 1615 he is listed as Kirckslätt.

To the east of the village center there is a large boulder, the Vargstain ( " Wolfenstein "). It has a circumference of 18.7 meters and a height of 2.5 meters.

North of the village is the Kersleti Peninsula ( Kersleti neem ). It forms the north-western tip of the island Vormsi.
