Kesab
Government
Kasab, (Arabic كسب, DMG Kasab, Armenian Քեսապ ), and Kassab, Kessab; is a Syrian town in the province of Latakia in the northwest of the country with about 3500 inhabitants.
Location
Kasab is located 3 km south of the Turkish border and 17 km from the Mediterranean Sea at 750 meters altitude. The town is surrounded by pine forests and is estimated as a summer resort.
History
The population is mainly Armenian for over a thousand years. In addition, there Alawite live.
