Keşan ( Кешан Bulgarian, Greek Kissos ) is a town in the Turkish province of Edirne. It is located near the Greek-Turkish border in Thrace, at the intersection of highways Edirne - Istanbul- Gallipoli and Alexandroupolis. The city has 54 189 inhabitants. The eastern side of Keşan, direction Malkara and Şarköy, is characterized by a hilly and rugged landscape while in the Meric River level (Greek Evros ) extend miles of rice fields.

- Lysimachia, ancient city, 309 BC founded by Lysimachus near the Thracian Chersonese peninsula.
