Kevin Barry (author)

Kevin Barry (born 1969 in Limerick ) is an Irish journalist and writer living in Dublin.

Barry writes for several newspapers. He published in 2007 his first short story collection There are Little Kingdoms, for which he was awarded the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature. A second volume of short stories won the 2012 " Sunday Times Short Story Award." Although Haruki Murakami, Andrew Miller and Michel Houellebecq were on the shortlist, he was awarded in 2013 for his first novel, City of Bohane with the International IMPAC Dublin Literary highly doped Award.
