Rooney Prize for Irish Literature
The Rooney Prize for Irish Literature is an Irish Literature Prize, which is awarded annually to a distinguished Irish writers under 40.
The price in 1976 was donated by Dan Rooney, president of the Pittsburgh Steelers since 2009 and U.S. Ambassador to Ireland. Since 2007, the Rooney Prize is administered by the Oscar Wilde Centre for Irish Writing at Trinity College Dublin.
