Kevin Burns

Kevin Burns ( born June 18, 1955 in Schenectady, New York, USA) is an American film producer, television director and screenwriter.

Career

Burns grew up in Niskayuna. In 1977, he graduated cum laude with the evaluation at Hamilton College in New York City. In 1981 he made at Boston University 's College of Communication, a Master 's degree in film. In the same year he received a Student Academy Award for his first film, I Remember Barbra (documentary with Barbra Streisand ). After studying Burns taught film production at university and was head of the so-called " Film Unit ", a group that should allow the students to gain practical experience in the turning of commercials and documentaries. In 1988 he moved to Los Angeles, where he worked as a manager at the television station 20th Century Fox Television. Later, Burns worked as a producer or director in many television productions and films, and in 1999 founded his own production company Prometheus Entertainment.
