Kfar Giladi (Hebrew כפר גלעדי ) is a kibbutz in Israel in the upper Galilee region, south of Metulla, on the border with Lebanon.

History

The kibbutz was founded on October 21, 1916 by members of Hashomer on land that belonged to the Jewish Colonization Association. After the Arab attack on Tel Hai on March 1, 1920, the kibbutz had been temporarily abandoned, but on October 3, 1920, the settlers returned.

On August 6, 2006 during the Lebanon war in 2006, twelve of the IDF reservists were killed after a fired by Hezbollah from southern Lebanon Katyusha rocket was taken. Fifteen others were wounded, two of them so badly that they had to be brought with medevac to Haifa.
