The Khan - Khentii Protected Area is a protected area in northern Mongolia to the Russian border, which is one of the specially protected areas of Mongolia. In the south, adjacent to the reserve of Gorchi - Tereldsch National Park, which is in turn directly north of Ulan Bator. The reserve was established in 1992 and protects an area of ​​about 13,000 square kilometers. 70 % of which are covered with forests.
