The Charaa (Mongolian Хараа гол, also Kharaa gol gol or Haraa ) is a tributary of the Orkhon recheter in Mongolia with a length of 291 km and a catchment area of 15,000 km ². With regard to the length he stands in 20th place of the rivers of Mongolia.

It has its origin in Batsümber in Töw Aimag in the mountains north of Ulaanbaatar and flows along the railway Ulaanbaatar - Darkhan, Selenge aimag through the areas and Darkhan - Uul aimag. Its tributaries include the rivers Boroo gol gol and Dsagdal. Ultimately, it opens in Darkhan in the river Orkhon, which flows via the Selenge into Lake Baikal.
