Khenemetneferhedjet III

Chenmetneferhedjet was an ancient Egyptian queen of the 12th Dynasty ( Middle Kingdom ). She was probably a wife of Amenemhat III. in the first years of the reign.

The name of the Chenmetneferhedjet is known only by a ritual vessel, was found by her burial in the pyramid of the ruler. Dieter Arnold, who excavated the burial, initially suspected that not the name of the Queen is on the vessel, as Chnumneferhedjet is also a royal title, and he read the name as a title. Recent studies, however, assume that this is the name of a queen. In the plundered burial is also an unmarked sarcophagus found with the skeleton of an approximately 25 -year-old woman, which is likely to be Chenmetneferhedjet.
