Khorugh

Chorugh ( Tajik Хоруғ / Chorugh; Russian Хорог / Khorog; persian خارغ ) is the capital of Gorno-Badakhshan, an autonomous province within Tajikistan (Central Asia ).

Geography

The approximately 22,000 inhabitants Chorugh located directly east of the border with Afghanistan, and just west of the mouth of the river below or Schachdara in the gunk, which flows just west of the urban area on the Afghan border in the Panj.
