Kick#Axe kick

The Axe- Kick ( jap: Kakato - geri, kor: doki ba chagi or naeryeo chagi ) is a technique used in many martial arts like karate, taekwondo or kickboxing. First you pull the leg from the outside or from the inside of the head height of the opponent and then lets the extended leg as the downward movement of an ax on the head or collarbone opponent down fast. The kick strikes with the heel. Especially famous for Axe- kick was Andy Hug, the Swiss Kyokushinkai Karateka one, the K- 1 Grand Prix won in 1996. According to him, the technique is also called " Andy - kick." In other martial arts such as Shotokan Karate, this technique is forbidden due to lack of control.
