Life

Kim Yong Taik was born on 28 September 1948 in Imsil, Jeollabuk -do. He had his official, literary debut was released in 1982 as eight of his poems in a collection of poems of famous poets. In 1985 he published his first collection of poems.

The starting point of Kim's works is what gets into the hustle and bustle of modern life in oblivion, the country, a blade of grass, the smell of Mother's hair. His loving and sensitive observation of everyday life of people who live on the land, townspeople offered a genuine representation of rural peasant society. The merits of his poems are accompanied in the sharp, critical spirit of his intimate depictions of rural life; the poetic sensibility of the poet is subject to a strict voice of censorship. In his work, even if the song from the rhythm, the drums beat on the rhythm ( 마당 은 비뚤어 졌어 도 장구 는 바로 치자 ), for example, Kim offers a disapproval of politicians in the city and the decision makers in the government, which reports on the actual situation of farmers in the country distort and twist.

His poetic endeavor was the honest underlying desire to give the rural society a sense of dignity. This simple gesture is susceptible to criticism. His desire for company, has a sincere quality that are otherwise missing in the intricate theories of modernity. The robust and critical spirit of his poetry derives from the use of the Jeolla-do dialect in poetic form, as Kasa ( 가사 ) T'asang ( 타령 ) and P'ansori ( 판소리 ). The combination of dialect, proverbs and saying amplifies the rural feeling. The use of traditional rhythms of his poetry is the ability of voltage to generate anger and laughter.
