Kimmo Kuhta

Kimmo Kuhta ( born June 19, 1975 in Helsinki ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who is under contract with HIFK Helsinki of the SM - liiga in.

Career

Kimmo Kuhta began his career as a hockey player with the Espoo Blues, for which he made ​​his debut in the SM- liiga in the 1995/96 season. He then moved to the league rivals HIFK Helsinki, with whom he became Finnish Champion in the 1997/98 season.

After nine years, the attacker left the club and was hired by the SC Bern of the Swiss National League A. For the Bernese he stood in the 2005/06 season in 42 games the main round on the ice and recorded 37 scorer points, including 16 goals. In addition, he completed six playoff games in which he scored six points scorer. After only one year Kuhta returned to HIFK Helsinki, for which he stood until 2009 in the SM- liiga under contract. Shortly after the start of the DEL 2009/10 season, the striker signed a one-year contract with the Hamburg Freezers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga, which was, however, resolved to request Kuchtas in January 2010 for family reasons. Then he returned to HIFK Helsinki.
