Kindia Region

Kindia is a region of Guinea. It lies in the west of the country, on the Atlantic coast and the border with Sierra Leone. Its capital is the same Kindia. The region has about 861,000 inhabitants and consists of the prefectures Coyah, Dubréka (formerly part of Coyah ) Forécariah Kindia and Télimélé. These are each named after their capital.

Kindia is for the most part in the geographic region of Lower Guinea.
