King Charles (musician)

King Charles (born 6 May 1988), actually Charles Costa, is an English singer-songwriter.

Biography

After two semesters of sociology at the University of Durham in 2007, he returned to London, took his pseudonym King Charles and founded Adventure Playground, a band that was, inter alia, with artists such as Laura Marling and Noah and the Whale on tour. Since the dissolution of Adventure Playground King Charles is under his name on the stage.

King Charles writes songs since he was 17 years old. In 2009, he won several prizes at the International Songwriting Competition in Nashville, including the Grand Prize in the category skirt for the song Love Lust and awards for the song Ivory Road in the category singer / songwriter and Time of Eternity in the category performance. King Charles plays guitar, piano and cello.
