Kinji Zeniya

Kinji Zeniya (Japanese銭 谷 钦 治, Zeniya Kinji; born March 13, 1953 in Kaga ) is a former badminton player from Japan.

Career

Kinji Zeniya won his first championship in 1974 in the Japanese men's singles. After a break in 1975, he won titles in four championships in a row from 1976 to 1979. In 1981 he was successful both in single as well as double. In 1984, he fought his last single title.

The first badminton world championships 1977 he had Flemming Delfs on the brink of defeat, resigned to the eventual champions in the second round, however, extremely scarce with 15:7, 15:17 and 12:15 from. In 1979, he was with the Japanese Thomas Cup team in the semifinals, three years later in the quarter finals of the world championship for men's teams.
