Kipling (TTC)

Kipling is an underground subway station in Toronto. It is the western terminus of the Bloor- Danforth line of the Toronto Subway, located at the St. Albans Road, near the intersection of Bloor Street, Dundas Street West and Kipling Avenue. The station, which has a central platform, is used daily by an average of 53 640 passengers (2009 /10)

The station is located in an industrial area of ​​low density, under power lines and near a substation. Nevertheless, it is very busy, as it is designed as transfer hubs for commuter traffic. The bus station is the terminus of ten bus lines, including an express line to the Toronto airport. The commuters are beyond four park-and -rides with 1488 paid parking and a kiss- and-ride facility available. Slightly to the south-west and is connected by a pedestrian tunnel, is the Kipling station on the Milton line of GO Transit.

The opening of the station on 22 November 1980 ago, together with the short, parallel to the main line of the Canadian Pacific Railway extending section of Islington.
