Kirchsee (Schleswig-Holstein)

The Kirchsee is a lake in the Holstein Switzerland. It is located in Preetzer urban area in the district of Plön. The original settlement area of Preetz and the city center are located on its western shore. There is also the Preetzer town church, after which the lake is named. The Kirchsee is traversed by the Schwentine which flows from the south to the Lankans lake. It is 10 hectares in size, up to 6 m deep and is located about 20 m above sea level. NN. Today the lake is almost completely surrounded by built-up area.
