Kiril Nikolov

Kiril Nikolov ( Bulgarian Кирил Николов; born November 6, 1982 in Ruse ) is a Bulgarian orienteers.

Nikolov practiced as a teenager from many sports, but decided at the age of 17 years for the orienteering. In his first World Championships in Switzerland in 2003, he finished the ranks 12 and 15 In the following years he remained in international championships rather in the center and rear box, but could from time to time in other races, including at the 2005 Tiomila its class prove. In 2007, he came at the World Championships for the first time in the top ten, 2009, he was sixth in the Sprint World Cup and 2010 European Championship in sixth on the long distance. His first medal he finally won at the European Championships 2012 in Sweden when he was second behind the Swede Jonas Leandersson.

Nikolov ran internationally for the clubs Stora Tuna IK from Sweden, Halden SK from Norway and Kalevan Rasti from Finland. In 2010 he won the Jukola with heaps. 2011 and 2012 he ran for Kalevan Rasti, winning again in 2012 the Jukola.
