Kirk DeMicco grew up in a suburb of Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, on.
Journalism
After his double degree in economics and political science he graduated in 1991 from the University of Southern California with the master, he worked for three years as a journalist in Italy. He interviewed in the Italian film industry workers for an Italian film business magazine. After his return to the U.S. in 1994 he worked for the William Morris Agency in New York and Los Angeles.
Screenwriter, film producer and film director
The first script that sold DeMicco, called A Day in November (bought by Warner Bros. and producer Arnold Kopelson for a million dollars ). Next he wrote Quest for Camelot. He later wrote the screenplay for Racing Stripes and participated in its production (directed by Frederik Du Chau ). John Cleese and DeMicco wrote the movie adaptation of Roald Dahl's classic The Twits. He wrote the screenplay for " Splitting Adam ". Here Comes Peter Cottontail and: The Movie and then Casper's Scare School. In 2008 he wrote the screenplay for the film Space Chimps, for whom he has directed also directed under producer John H. Williams at Vanguard Animation. This film was the first chimpanzee in space, Ham, inspired. While he worked at Warner Bros., he wrote and Du Chau the screenplay for the movie Hong Kong Phooey, which they sold to Alcon Entertainment. He also revised screenplays for Disney, Warner Bros., DreamWorks and Spyglass. For television, he worked as an " Executive Producer" for the Discovery Channel documentary " HALO: Freefall Warriors" Finally he wrote the screenplay for The Croods, in which Chris Sanders directed and which was produced by DreamWorks Animation The 3D. . animated film the Croods was presented on March 22, 2013 at the 63rd Berlin International Film Festival.
