Kirkliston

Kirkliston is a village in the Scottish City area of Edinburgh. It is about 13 kilometers west of the city center of Edinburgh and south of Dunfermline located. The south bank of the Firth of Forth runs about four kilometers north and Edinburgh Airport is about a kilometer away. In 2001, Kirkliston recorded 3043 inhabitants.

While there were earlier in Kirkliston textile industry, today it is primarily commuter settlement without its own industry. Between 1795 and 1910, Kirkliston Kirkliston was the site of the distillery. After its closure, the connected Malthouse still many years been in operation.
