Edinburgh Western (Scottish Parliament constituency)
Edinburgh Western is a constituency of the Scottish Parliament. It was introduced in 1999 under the name Edinburgh West as one of nine constituencies of the Lothians electoral region. As part of the revision of the electoral regions in 2011 the Lothians region was again cut and renamed Lothian. Here the boundaries of Edinburgh West were redrawn and the constituency in Edinburgh renamed Western. The constituency covers the western areas and suburbs of Edinburgh and appoint a deputy.
